Description:This Lockheed Martin EO Global Financial Services (LM GFS) role provides accounting support to the Global Accounting Cost Monitoring and Compliance (CMAC) organization in Lakeland, Florida. This team supports the Record to Report process and performs financial accounting services for worldwide defense and aerospace programs. This role supports numerous LM subsidiaries by accounting for expatriate costs such as labor, international relocation expenses, and tax-equalization.
Primary responsibilities include cost accounting and analysis, management of indirect expenses for international subsidiaries, account reconciliations, U.S. Government regulatory reporting, and oversight of accounting system controls.
This team member may perform tasks such as:
- General accounting support, to include journal entries, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and table validation/maintenance
- Collaborating with other GFS functions and the business area program finance organization for accurate reporting of premium, travel, and relocation costs
- Provide labor accounting support for expatriated staff
- Financial reporting to the U.S. Government
- Review, analyze, and troubleshoot accounting processes
This is a fast paced, challenging position where the candidate must be a proven quick learner and will be expected to master various systems and processes. The employee will handle multiple concurrent assignments, deadlines, and priorities thus effective organization and prioritization are essential. An ability to work both independently and in a diverse team environment across multiple time zones is expected. The position also requires strong analytical skills to ensure accurate reporting and maintain a strong internal controls environment.
Basic Qualifications:- Bachelor’s level degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline or equivalent combination of
education and relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated accounting and analytical skills confirmed through related work experience, including the support of financial accounting
- Proficiency with general ledger systems, data analysis tools, and standard accounting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Demonstrated self-starter with ability to independently organize, prioritize, and simultaneously manage multiple tasks/priorities.
Desired Skills:- Demonstrated ability to successfully research and resolve complex accounting issues
- Experience with finance/ accounting reporting and Data Analysis tools
- Experience with LMC compliant procedures and processes
- Knowledge and application of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and applicable CAS and FAR statements
- Ability to identify process issues and offer viable solutions

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
