Systems Engineer to join the team in "Rocket City" USA
Huntsville, AL As a Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in the development, integration, and testing of this advanced system.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Perform as a Systems Engineer covering the entire Systems Engineering lifecycle processes, from architecture and requirements development to weapons system operations and integration
• Execute the system level integration and testing to ensure the weapon system meets its performance, safety, and functional objectives
• Develop strong working relationships with the larger systems team, national team members, and customers to ensure successful product delivery
• Utilize your excellent interpersonal skills to assist with the resolution of programmatic and technical issues across the program, identify risks and appropriate mitigation plans
• Collaborate with government and customer
representatives to support critical daily space-based operations and distributed multi-element deliveries and activities.
• Some travel may be required ~10%

• Experience integrating or troubleshooting electrical or hardware-software systems
• System Level Test planning and execution experience with an understanding of all the interdependencies
• Eligibility to obtain a Secret Security Clearance - U.S. Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:• Experience with requirements verification and validation
• 3+ years with design, development, integration, test, with broad-based and in-depth knowledge of space, missile, and/or launch systems at the component through system level
• Customer interaction and familiarity with the DoD Labs/Facilities
• Demonstrated understanding and application of Systems Engineering and a Systems Thinking mindset
• Experience working with groups and organizations outside of your immediate product area
• Ability to manage multiple, often-competing requests, effectively prioritizing the most urgent ones
• Ability to look across the entire system to identify potential impacts of a change
• Passion to apply creative problem solving and creative thinking to accomplish what seems impossible
• Excellent presentation and written communication skills
• Active or Current Secret clearance

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
