Job Summary and Qualifications
The Manager of Clinical Resource Management is responsible for the supervision of Case Managers and/or Social Workers and Communications/Utilization Coordinators. The Manager collaboratively establishes and oversees compliance with case management policies and procedures. The Manager evaluates all case management activities to ensure appropriateness.
What you will do in this role:
- Oversee daily application, coordinate revisions, and compile new policies and procedures as needed.
- Monitor and evaluate quality and appropriateness of case management activities making program/process changes as necessary.
- Strive to assure overall reduction in LOS, improved patient/family perceptions, reduction in consumed resources, and increase in reimbursement.
- Submit reports regarding case management to Director (i.e. outliers, readmits, monthly stats, denial logs, “OBS” report).
- Supervise staff and assist with employee evaluation process.
- Coordinate case management staff participation on committees which relate to PI and patient care (Continuum of Care facilitator).
- Perform case management duties as needed for departmental coverage.
- Assure continued development of collaborative clinical pathways, protocols, or treatment plans in conjunction with Decision Support.
- Assist medical staff committees in the execution of measurement, assessment, and Performance Improvement activities.
- Coordinate educational needs and presentations for CM/SW staff.
- Participate in staff interview and selection process.
- Coordinate daily staffing needs through scheduling of PRN staff and monthly call schedule.
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Health Related Field required.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
- 3 years of experience in QA, UR, or Case Management required.
- 2 years of management/supervisory experience required.
