Job description
As a Mercedes-Benz Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of Mercedes-Benz vehicles. You will work in a state-of-the-art facility with advanced tools and technology, ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service.
POSITION INFORMATION: A Mercedes-Benz Technician is responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Pay dependent on experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Diagnose and repair various mechanical and electrical issues on Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify vehicle problems and recommend solutions.
- Keep accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
- Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues, service recommendations, and repairs.
- Ensure all work is completed to Mercedes-Benz’s strict standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest Mercedes-Benz technology and repair techniques.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working as an automotive technician, with a focus on Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- ASE certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Proficient with Mercedes-Benz diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and diagnostic.
- Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy parts and equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS: The Technician will stand up to eight hours per shift, lift parts weighing
up to 50 pounds several times during each shift, and use hoist and test equipment as needed. S/he will stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle, and feel. S/he will use hand and power tools. S/he will be exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and nonhazardous materials. Road-testing of vehicles may be required. The Technician will be required to wear a dealership uniform at all times.
