How will this role impact First Command?
As a Marketing Insights Analyst, you will support the Marketing organization by translating marketing and client data into actionable insights that inform campaign performance, brand health, and reputation management. This role focuses on analyzing marketing effectiveness across the funnel of impressions, engagement, leads, opportunities, and client conversion to help teams understand what is working and where to optimize.
Working closely with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team, Marketing Operations, and internal stakeholders, this role will leverage approved data sources, dashboards, and research to deliver consistent, reliable insights. The Marketing Insights Analyst will also support First Command’s internal marketing consultancy model by providing data-backed analysis, standardized reporting, and insight summaries that help marketing partners make informed decisions.
What will the employee do in this role?
- Analyze marketing campaign performance across channels to evaluate effectiveness against defined KPIs (impressions, engagement, leads, opportunities, conversions)
- Support brand and reputation measurement by monitoring and reporting on key metrics such as awareness, consideration, NPS, CSAT, and sentiment, in partnership with Marketing and Communications teams
- Interpret multiple marketing and client data sets and summarize findings in clear, actionable insight narratives for non-technical stakeholders
- Partner with the Enterprise Data & Analytics team to ensure marketing analyses align with enterprise data standards, definitions, and governance
- Support the Marketing Operations internal consultancy program by providing recurring reports, ad-hoc analysis, and insight decks for marketing partners and leadership
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standardized marketing dashboards and scorecards using approved tools and data sources
- Contribute to journey-based and campaign-based KPI frameworks by helping define measures and tracking performance over time
- Support segmentation, targeting, and positioning analysis to inform campaign optimization and sponsorship effectiveness
- Help identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement through ongoing analysis of marketing and client data
- Collaborate with agency partners and internal teams to evaluate brand and campaign performance metrics
- Document methodologies, assumptions, and insights to ensure repeatability and consistency across analyses
Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in business Analytics, Marketing, Data Science, Statistics, or related field.
Work Experience
- At least 2-4 years of experience in marketing analytics, insights, or research roles
- Experience supporting campaign measurement, brand metrics, or client insights
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including analytics or data partners
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to analyze and synthesize multiple data sources into clear marketing insights
- Strong data storytelling skills with the ability to translate findings for non-technical audiences
- Experience supporting KPI reporting for marketing performance and customer engagement
- Working knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Experience using analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Google Analytics, or Marketing Cloud Intelligence
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL, Python, or R for analysis (advanced development not required)
- Familiarity with marketing technology platforms (marketing automation, analytics, CDP, DSP) from a reporting and insights perspective
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation skills
- Ability to work within established data governance and enterprise analytics frameworks
