POSITION SUMMARY:
Regional Disaster Assistance Program (RDAP) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as Administrative Assistant in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the RDAP Regional Office in San Jose, Costa Rica. The Administrative Assistant will assume full responsibility for a wide range of administrative support task for the day-to-day operations of the WHA Regional Office.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- In preparation for events, create and reconcile rosters; sign-in sheets; prepare name badges; signage; and oversee registration.
- Coordinate Food/Beverage for catered events and prepare coffee, beverages or snacks for meetings and events.
- Maintain cleanliness in kitchen, coffee stations, and meeting rooms.
- Order supplies and maintain stock inventory.
- Set up dismantle various configuration for events, involving moving tables and chairs at times from one floor to another.
- As receptionist for the RDAP Office, answer phones, greet visitors, issue visitor badges, check ID’S.
- Assist staff with other administrative responsibilities as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma required; some college preferred.
- Strong skills and acumen in technology, including Windows, Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across various teams with excellent interpersonal skills to maintain strong relationships.
- Proficiency in Spanish and English Level 4 minimum required, Level 5 preferred.
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs.
