Position Summary:
1st Shift Monday- Friday
A Brief Overview:
Handles the picking of merchandise cases for stores. Maintains established metrics for accuracy and performance to meet the needs of store orders. Ensures compliance with safety policies and procedures.
What you will do:
- Collects and reads store orders that include item location, descriptions, and quantity.
- Electronic System to locate and select items / Ensure accuracy in picking items.
- Gathers the required cases of merchandise and transfers cases to pallets or conveyers using safe lifting techniques.
- Arrange selected item on pallet securely and efficiently.
- Demonstrates ability to operate power equipment and perform preliminary safety checks of equipment.
- Ensures pallet security with tape and shrink wrap.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by following safety guidelines.
- Performs general housekeep to ensure working area and aisles are clear of debris.
- Participates in training for other warehouse duties.
- Carries out area strategy to maintain performance metric standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time.
- Occasional medium lifting requirements (0-20 lbs.) and an occasional heavy lifting requirement (up to 75 lbs.).
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read, write, and count accurately.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail for order accuracy.
- Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally (courteous and cordial).
- Basic computer skills.
- Basic awareness of problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to be a collaborator who is comfortable working in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work with different levels of colleagues with focus on customer service.
- Ability to act competently in emergencies.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Ability to work safely with and around operating mechanical systems.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule or overtime as required, to include shift rotation.
- Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance.
- Has a sense of organization and cleanliness regarding work area.
- Familiarity with warehouse management system (WMS) is a plus.
- 0-2 years of previous warehouse experience is preferred.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager/senior leadership.

High School Diploma or equivalent required

The typical pay range for this role is:
$16.00 - $31.46
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
