WHY: The purpose of this role is to mature the Program Management Office (PMO) within Global Manufacturing Electrical & SDV, driving visibility, governance, and timely execution of all launch deliverables while fostering a strong people-first culture.
WHAT: As a PMO EGM, you will lead the PMO to deliver operational excellence, empower staff, and ensure alignment with organizational goals across manufacturing, software, and program management.
HOW: By building a robust PMO framework and enabling cross-functional collaboration to make it happen for our customers.
Work Arrangement - Onsite
The successful candidate is expected to report to the Warren Tech Center on a full-time basis. This role requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
- Establish and evolve PMO governance to ensure consistent processes, visibility, and timely execution of GVDP deliverables.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, focusing on coaching, engagement, and career growth.
- Drive cross-functional alignment both internally (cross-department) and externally (between manufacturing engineering/operations, software, and program teams) to mitigate risks and accelerate launches.
- Implement standardized reporting and dashboards for program health, resource allocation, and issue resolution.
- Foster a forward-thinking work culture that embraces change and navigates future organizational and industry challenges.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships across various functions including software, manufacturing, and program management to synergize efforts towards future innovations.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- 8+ years of professional experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in program management, manufacturing operations, or business processes.
- Proven ability to develop and mentor people, foster collaboration, and build high-performing teams.
- Comprehensive understanding of PMO practices and program management principles, including governance, planning, and structured execution in a global manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and lead effectively across functions and at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate complex program strategies clearly and concisely across all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinker with a start-up mentality—adaptable, resilient, and capable of driving transformation in ambiguous environments.
What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in establishing or optimizing PMOs within large-scale organizations.
- Familiarity with vehicle manufacturing systems and processes, electrical architecture, and SDV (Software Defined Vehicle) programs.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Agile frameworks).
- Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and manage competing priorities globally.
