What You’ll Learn:
The Transportation Intern will play an integral role in supporting daily transportation operations while contributing to data-driven improvements across service, cost, and execution. Interns will gain hands-on exposure to logistics coordination, carrier communication, and transportation performance analytics. This internship provides practical experience in a fast-paced supply chain environment and serves as an entry point into potential post-graduate, full-time opportunities within transportation or supply chain functions.

This position is based onsite at our corporate office located 7440 S. Hwy 121 McKinney, TX 75070.
What You’ll Do:
As a Transportation Intern, you will support day-to-day transportation operations by assisting with shipment scheduling and coordination to ensure on-time delivery. You will track shipments, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate updates with internal teams, customers, carriers, and drivers. You will also help troubleshoot delivery delays, missed pickups, and other transportation exceptions while supporting daily administrative tasks within transportation systems (TMS or similar tools).
In addition, you will support data collection, analysis, and reporting efforts by building and maintaining Excel trackers and dashboards using tools such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP. You will monitor key performance indicators including on-time pickup and delivery, carrier compliance, cost per shipment, and service exceptions. You will identify trends and recurring issues, provide reporting summaries, and support continuous improvement initiatives by making data-driven recommendations to leadership.

Intern Program Requirements:
Ability to provide an unofficial transcript
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, Analytics, or a related field
Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Comfortable working with data, systems, and reporting tools
Willingness to learn Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation processes
Strong organization, documentation, and time management skills
