The Electrical Lead (FN) will be based at one of three Amentum sites in Iraq and will serve the Operations and Maintenance Support Services (OMSS) contract in support of the U.S. Department of State. This position is responsible for overseeing all facility electrical operations including maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, installation, and related O&M electrical projects. The FN Electrical Lead Reports to the Electrical Supervisor and is responsible for preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
DUTIES:
- Maintain a safe workplace and ensure that safety is the highest priority.
- Comply with all Environmental, Health & Safety, and Quality Assurance requirements; provide documentation as required.
- Perform maintenance, repair, modernization, and installation of electrical systems for site buildings and equipment.
- Locate and diagnose electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
- Repair malfunctions by replacing defective elements, fuses, wiring, motors, or related components.
- Test electrical systems and equipment such as motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency.
- Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and electrical equipment.
- Inspect circuits for shielding and grounding compliance.
- Report any malfunctions or non-compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements to the O&M Manager.
- Conduct inspections and prepare detailed written reports.
- Maintain effective and respectful communication with colleagues, management, and cross-functional teams.
- Perform administrative tasks including materials ordering, inventory management, work scheduling, and reporting.
- Ensure proper custodianship of tools, equipment, and spare parts assigned to the electrical team.
- Take the initiative to analyze situations and make technical decisions based on specifications, codes, and safety standards.
- Perform additional duties and projects assigned.
REQUIRED:

Minimum Acceptable Experience Level:
- Minimum 5 years as an electrician.
- Minimum 5 years of electrical experience in operations and maintenance.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Experience interpreting Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements, electrical diagrams, and blueprints.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of applicable US Codes and acceptable trade practices.
- Previous electrical experience in an OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce is desirable.
- Knowledge and experience regarding occupational hazards of the electrical trade, related safety precautions and considerable skill required for the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Must have good organizational and communication skills with the ability to exercise sound judgment and make independent decisions.
- Knowledge of principles and processes involved in supporting contract responsibilities at an overseas facility.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Education: A high school diploma or GED. Electrician vocational diploma.

Passport, and Licenses: As part of pre-contingency requirements, by the time the visa process starts, candidates must possess a valid passport with a minimum of 18 months remaining until the expiration date with 8 blank pages. Valid drivers’ license.

Security Vetting: Must be able to maintain the facility credentials / authorization.

Language Skills: Satisfactory English proficiency to meet job requirements and to adhere and comply with safety, health, and security measures.

Medical: Successfully complete and pass the medical and dental examinations as required by Amentum and our customer for deployment to Iraq. Must maintain physical and dental requirements for duration of deployment.
DESIRED:
- Knowledge in the discipline of operations and maintenance projects in an international environment.
- Previous work experience in harsh environmental conditions is a plus.
- Experience working with Amentum.
