Senior Scientist (Protein & Enzyme Analytics) – Data Rich Measurements
Job Description:

As a Senior Scientist in Analytical Enabling Capabilities, you will work with a highly collaborative team to advance the development pipeline. You will be primarily responsible for developing analytical methods for complex small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides, protein-based therapeutics, and emerging modalities in our portfolio. You will work side by side with process chemists to deploy innovative technologies and analytical workflows for high-throughput analysis and characterization across fast-paced laboratory settings (Method Discovery, Protein Engineering, Biocatalysis). Education Minimum Requirement:
- PhD in Chemistry or a related field OR
- Masters in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years of experience OR
- Bachelors in Chemistry or related field with 8+ years of experience
Required Experience And Skills:
- 3+ years of thorough understanding of chromatography and mass spectrometry within method development.
- Creative problem solving in scientific research
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong track-record of innovation translated into high impact factor publication
- Bioanalytical techniques, separations and python coding
- LC/MS analysis of proteins/enzymes, HDX-MS and high-throughput analysis
- Enzyme kinetics
Preferred Experience And Skills:
- Expertise in method development and troubleshooting of high-throughput fast chromatographic methods including reversed phase, ion exchange, size exclusion chromatography, etc.
- Hands-on experience in protein characterization techniques such as intact mass analysis, native-MS, peptide mapping analysis for the identification of PTMs, HCPs and disulfide mapping
- Strong understanding of designing and executing enzyme kinetics and functional activity assays
- Willing to learn new technologies and automation

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, Monday - Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The salary range for this role is
$117,000.00 - $184,200.00
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, government requirements, and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive, if applicable.
