We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for retail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Retail Sales Associate, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming shopping environment, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and visually appealing.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products within the store.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and basic math calculations.
- Provide product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and satisfaction.
- Engage in upselling techniques to increase sales while maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays and ensuring products are stocked appropriately.
- Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance.
- Exhibit excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or concerns over the phone.
- Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment.
- Foster strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members alike.
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or a grocery store environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with cashiering duties, including cash handling procedures.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances communication with diverse customers.
