The following position is to join our Command-and-Control Requirements and Capabilities team working with Mission Operations and Data Intelligence team as part of Battlefield Management Command and Control and Networking:
This position is responsible for leading and coordinating Collins Mission Systems (MiS) Army Networking and Communications business development. This individual establishes and maintains contact networks at all levels and commands within the US Army requirements capabilities, development, acquisition and sustainment of US Army communications and information systems and their dependencies.
As an integral part of the Mission Operations and Data Intelligence team, the position will leverage their extensive contacts to identify customer requirements, program initiatives, cross-portfolio efficiencies, dependencies, and opportunities for Mission Systems focusing on CPE C3N, CPE IEW&S, DEVCOM, C5ISR, Battle Labs and Transformation, Training Command (T2COM). This position will play a pivotal role in advising on and overseeing the design of advanced enterprise solutions across our current and evolving communications solutions in order to offer solutions and pursue growth in the US Army and DoD market.
This Senior position involves collaborating across different business units, leading and advising teams in strategy sessions, and providing intimate technical knowledge of the operations of US Army communications equipment at a tactical, operational, and strategic level in order to create a cohesive strategy to develop and deliver superior communications capabilities for soldiers. The ideal candidate has tremendous interpersonal skills, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure our solutions align with strategic business objectives and cutting-edge technological advancements. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in US Army enterprise solutions architecture, Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) program objectives, capabilities, and characteristics, US Army Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), requirements, acquisition, training, and sustainment communities, as well as other industry partners and academia. The ideal candidate would have first-hand operational experience with tactical and enterprise communications solutions used by the US Army.
This position is coined as Hybrid reporting out of either location: Dulles, VA or Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. We will consider remote option for exceptional candidates.
What You Will Do

Develop and maintain extensive customer relations with senior-level customer organizations, industry colleagues, and trade associations for timely identification of US Army communication requirements and cross-portfolio synergies

Advise and coordinate the development and implementation of customer solutions for Mission Operations and Data Intelligence (MODI) Battlefield Management Command and Control Networking (BMC2N), ensuring customer requirements are understood

Coordinate across Mission Systems to advance collaboration, establish and implement strategies across related/assigned US Army communication customer organizations to maximize Collins’ opportunities and customer satisfaction

Leverage inter-personal relationships and customer affinity to shape requirements, acquisition strategy and decision-making processes. Interpret and communicate US Army policies, initiatives, requirements and opportunities to Mission Operations and Data Intelligence (MODI) Battlefield Management Command and Control Networking (BMC2N) leaders

Lead and support businesses in pursuing lateral opportunities and support current programs that are critical to the company

Establish understanding of US Army communications strategic direction and effectively correlate and communicate these customer strategies with business unit pursuit leads in support of their strategic plan and goals

Support business unit RTX Lifecycle Program Management activities. Participate in gate reviews, color teams, competitive/market assessments, marketing plans, proposal teams, and strategic planning

Support related trade shows and professional conferences to help educate customers on Collins Aerospace capabilities, and articulate customer requirements to Collins

Collaborate with senior business analysts, project managers, and other high-level stakeholders across all Collins Aerospace systems to gather complex requirements, translate them into sophisticated technical solutions and integrate capabilities into a cohesive US Army communications strategy

Facilitate close collaboration with development teams to ensure the successful delivery and seamless integration of solutions, providing expert troubleshooting support as needed

Identify and mitigate risks associated with proposed solutions, ensuring they align with both business and US Army objectives

Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends, continuously improving solution offerings and driving innovation within the team

Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, promoting best practices and innovative thinking

Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience

Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

10 years of prior relevant experience working with US Army customers
-
Working knowledge of US Army Networking and Communications doctrine, strategies and programs, platforms, missions, and systems as well as their employment in battlefield situations
-
Experience / Knowledge of the DoD processes for requirements development/approval, developing capability solutions, budgeting, and acquisition
-
Experience with classified information handling protocols and regulations, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards
Qualifications We Prefer

Recent experience working with the US Army; the ideal candidate would possess insights, experience, qualifications and technical expertise equivalent to Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel or GS-15

5+ years of experience in US Army networking and communications operations, communications acquisition, test & evaluation; C5ISR or Transformation, Training Command (T2COM) is highly desired

Previous experience as a Senior Signal Officer or Senior Signal Advisor

Previous Leadership Experience

Strategic/critical thinking skills, creativity, problem-solving, debate, challenging customer thinking, and fact-based analysis of alternatives are required

Knowledge of Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Army Contracting Command (ACC) procedures and business rules

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
