Job Summary:
To serve as an individual contributor on Environmental, Health and/or Safety (EHS) projects and assignments that support and enhance Caterpillar facility performance and compliance.
What you will do:
• Performs inspections and tests planned to monitor specific EHS issues, regulations and company practices.
• Strengthen the EHS program and ensure proactive management of ergonomic risks.
• Supervise and manage the plant’s ergonomic risk mapping.
• Provide technical guidance and support to teams performing ergonomic assessments.
• Identify ergonomic risks early in new projects (Built-in EHS).
• Assists in training employees on EHS guidelines, company policies and procedures, and regulations pertaining to EHS.
• Making and maintaining necessary EHS records according to established guidelines.
• Contributes to the development of EHS policies and procedures.
What you will have:
Process Management: Knowledge of business process improvement tools and techniques; ability to understand, monitor, update, control, or enhance existing business or work processes.
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
Effective Communication & Influencing: Strong understanding of effective communication concepts, tools, and techniques, with the ability to clearly transmit, receive, and interpret information. Skilled in applying influencing strategies to impact decisions both within and outside the organization.
Initiative & Managing Multiple Priorities: Demonstrates proactive behavior by identifying responsibilities and challenges and taking action to accomplish goals. Skilled in managing multiple priorities simultaneously, applying effective self‑management practices to allocate time, make sound judgments, and drive results across concurrent tasks and projects.
Basic requirements:
-Postgraduate degree in Ergonomics
- Basic English
- Basic knowledge of Office 365 tools
- At least 1 year of experience in the ergonomics field
- Knowledge: Regulatory standards, normative requirements (ABNT), and related legislation
Top candidates will also have:
- Previous experience in leading projects focused on ergonomics in large companies
- Intermediate English proficiency
- Intermediate knowledge of Office 365 tools
- Knowledge of LEAN practices
Note: This position requires the candidate to work on-site five days a week.
