Principal Product Risk Associate - AML Next Gen Investigator Platforms
Product Management at Capital One is a booming, vibrant craft that requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative, sustainable customer experiences. We believe our portfolio of businesses and investments in growth will result in a company with the scale, brand, and talent to succeed as the digital revolution transforms our society.
In Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), we are the guardians of this transformation. Our team identifies, manages, and mitigates the key risks that could keep the company from achieving its strategic objectives. Managing risk isn’t just a corporate requirement; it’s a commitment to our businesses, our customers, our communities, and our associates.
As a Principal Product Risk Associate, you will support the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Investigator Platforms team, specifically focusing on our Next Gen Investigation Ecosystem. This role is designed for a "Well Managed" practitioner who uniquely blends risk assessment, process and project management, change management, and technology skills.

An Analytical Truth-Seeker: You believe data and numbers illuminate the truth. You analyze information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements before they impact the mission.
Customer-Centric: You strive to remediate risk while remaining obsessed with the potential impacts on the customer and associate experience.
A Master of Synthesis: You can develop, edit, and deliver presentations that distill complex risk insights into actionable change management strategies.
Specific responsibilities and skill set required include, but are not limited to:
Influence: Effectively challenge and influence the business area to mitigate risk when developing well-designed products, practices, and processes.
Execution: Maintain a relentless focus on quality and timeliness. Establish and maintain positive relationships with Product Owners, Tech partners, Operations stakeholders, and Risk advisors.
Results-Oriented: Operate within Scaled Agile Frameworks, embracing iterative delivery and a bias toward action. You lead work across multiple streams, engaging with stakeholders to drive results.
Risk Architecture: Partner with data analysts and technology to improve risk monitoring and reporting. You will track and remediate risks to closure, execute control assessments, and support audit/regulatory response activities.
Product Lifecycle Support: Maintain product risk documentation, process flows, and testing artifacts. You will support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new product features and enhancements.
