As a Manager within RSM’s Management Consulting Life Sciences practice, you will step into a key leadership role within one of the firm’s fastest‑growing and most entrepreneurial groups. You will have the resources and cross‑functional support of the largest middle‑market firm, while operating in a lean and agile environment where your experience and ideas will directly shape our service offerings and client approach.
We are looking for a leader who can solve the complex challenges facing middle‑market Life Sciences organizations, guide teams through sophisticated consulting engagements, and build long‑term client relationships grounded in trust. You should bring a strong mix of strategic problem‑solving, subject‑matter expertise, project management excellence, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Lead consulting engagements for Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology clients, with a focus on Gross‑to‑Net (GTN) revenue analytics, government pricing analytics, contract and channel valuation, compliance assessments, pricing methodology development, and Fair Market Value analysis.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise in Gross‑to‑Net and Government Pricing, including contributions to go‑to‑market strategies and service offering development
- Oversee cross‑functional assessments and transformations to identify gaps within Managed Markets, Finance, and Medical Affairs functions, leveraging industry best practices and compliance requirements
- Develop and implement market access, pricing, and commercialization strategies aligned with client goals
- Lead the development and maintenance of pricing and forecasting models related to government pricing calculations (e.g., AMP, BP, URA, ASP, Non‑FAMP) and evaluate the impact of commercial, government, and distribution contracts
- Guide clients in implementing compliant government and commercial programs, including operations, pricing governance, utilization management, and price reporting requirements
- Advise clients on price transparency and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Apply strong data analytics and financial modeling capabilities to evaluate client performance and operational effectiveness
- Demonstrate strong project management capabilities, including:
- Scoping and planning engagements
- Leading requirements gathering
- Managing timelines, deliverables, risks, and budgets
- Overseeing quality assurance, user testing, and change management
- Cultivate strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and maintaining ongoing communication with stakeholders, operational leaders, and C‑suite executives
- Manage and mentor project teams, providing direction, coaching, and performance feedback
- Lead business development and networking efforts, including proposal development, pursuit strategy, and creation of thought‑leadership content
- Oversee engagement economics, including budgeting, margin management, staffing, billing, and risk mitigation
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of professional consulting or relevant experience
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex business problems through fact‑gathering, data analysis, and business process mapping
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams through evolving project requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and organizational skills
- Strong client service orientation and proven ability to build and maintain long‑term relationships
- Team player with strong attention to detail, problem‑solving abilities, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively
- Willingness and ability to travel 50%+
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (biomedical, mechanical, computer, chemical, industrial), Supply Chain, Economics, or a related field
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt
- MBA or other advanced degree
- Demonstrated consulting presence and ability to communicate confidently with executive‑level leaders
- Project Management certification (PMP, Agile, etc.)
- Knowledge of global regulatory requirements and government pricing frameworks

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $119,100 - $239,300
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
