Under general supervision, is responsible for providing nursing care and related nursing services under the direction of a Public Health Physician and senior level professional nursing staff. Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment with occasional exposure to hazardous materials, bodily fluids and frequent exposure to infectious diseases. Exercises functional supervision over assigned staff.
The San Antonio Metro Health District (SAMHD) provides public health services to clients, which may include risk for exposure to and possible transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases. Staff in high-risk positions will be required to obtain relevant immunizations, per SAMHD Policy DM 13.2. Review and consideration will be given to requests for exemption from this policy.

Secondary Location: Metro Health STI/HIV Clinic - 512 E Highland Blvd., Ste 150, San Antonio, TX 78210 (8-16 hours weekly)
Work Hours 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday - Friday; occasional meetings and events outside of business hours
