Job Summary
The Ground and Maritime Defense Radar Software department is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Radar Software Integration Engineer to join the Radar Digital Product Line Software Operations team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, high-performance radar software solutions. This role involves integrating, testing, and troubleshooting radar software to ensure optimal system performance in various operating environments. You will interact with downstream program stakeholders and tackle complex software integration issues across all products and programs supported by the Radar Digital Product Line. You will perform Tier 1 support and triage for software issues occurring at downstream test sites and will coordinate with in-plant subject matter experts to resolve these issues. You will deploy, install, and update radar software at downstream radar sites.
What You Will Do
Assist in software integration and testing under the guidance of senior engineers.
Conduct basic software integration, system testing, and debugging in lab and field environments.
Execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate radar software functionality and performance.
Participate in Agile software development practices and contribute to smaller tasks
Analyze and resolve software/hardware interface issues during software integration.
Document integration processes, test results, and troubleshooting steps to ensure knowledge transfer and system traceability.
Learn and apply programming and scripting skills in a controlled setting.
Acquire domain specific knowledge in areas such as signal processing, resource management, hardware/software integration procedures, or radar systems
Support field installations and trials, as necessary, to ensure successful system deployment. Minimal travel (0-10%) for training or introductory field experience.
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (STEM)
This position requires 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships).
Knowledge of high-level programming languages such as C++ or Java.
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or bash.
Familiarity with Linux and the command line interface.
Familiarity with version control systems like Git or Rational Clearcase.
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Experience with build systems such as Cmake
Familiarity with software debugging and troubleshooting tools (e.g. gdb, Wireshark, tcpdump).

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
