Raytheon is seeking a Logistics Team Lead for our Aurora, CO facility. The team lead will work with logistics staff to provide daily oversight and guidance. This position will maintain responsibility for the implementation and compliance of safety protocol in the day-to-day operation of the logistics team. The team lead will provide direction over the Logistics functions (receiving, shipping, warehouse and transportation) to ensure customer requirements are met, while maintaining compliance with all facility and company policies, practices and procedures and FAR government regulations. This role will oversee and support the execution of continuous improvement of logistics processes relating to the safe and efficient receipt, storage, distribution, and shipment of product at the facility. This candidate must be able to build strategic relationships with internal customers to support overall site needs. The team lead will use company business systems to drive continuous improvement, monitor process effectiveness and to anticipate and resolve issues. The team lead will report to the site Logistics Manager.
What You Will Do*

Responsible for oversight of all logistics operations (receiving, shipping, warehouse and transportation) to lead and develop a team of associates.

Supports all safety programs and OSHA compliance to ensure safe work practices. Enforces safety standards and JHA’s practices to ensure a safe work environment. Ensures proper management of PPE requirements.

Leads day-to-day activities within each logistics function including but is not limited to communication, problem resolution, service level commitments, and safety reviews.

Acts as the primary information source for the team by effectively and promptly communicating updates on critical logistics efforts, providing training on associated tasking and changes in workload priorities within the team.

Monitors various departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to define team effectiveness, ensure service level commitments and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.

Works with team to create and update training documents as required and presents documents to the team and leadership.

Works with local program support teams, mission assurance and government property compliance to satisfy program requirements and maintain a Government Property Control System.

Monitors tasks and oversees projects related to all logistics area activities that require support from other functional groups on site.

Works closely with logistics associates to balance support of departmental workflows while ensuring cross training requirements for full required support.

Applies practical knowledge of interpreting requirements, specifications, directives, regulations and other related technical, contractual, or leadership documents pertinent to logistics.

Complies with Department of Transportation (DoT) driver and vehicle requirements.

Team lead is not an individual contributor position and will be assessed on ability to collaborate with peers and influence the behavior and success of assigned team.

Performs duties as on-site logistics lead for all functions, during weekend and holiday schedules, as assigned.

Participates in and provides input for goal setting, performance reviews and recognition of team members.

Updates and develops new Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) as tasks change or new high-risk tasks are identified.

Collaborates with Logistics functions from other sites to develop and deploy best practices and establish common processes.

Backfills for Logistics Manager when on PTO, travel, etc.

Adheres to safety and protection policies and procedures and identifies safety risks to improve safety precautions.

Will lift up to 28 pounds and carry up to 40 feet several times daily as required.

Will travel to other sites as required.

This is a 1st shift onsite position.
Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.

Experience with logistics operations

Leadership experience
Qualifications We Prefer

Experience leading a team of exempt/non-exempt employees in a fast-paced work environment

Experience with OSHA and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)

Prior experience in leadership of logistics operations

Working knowledge of SAP – PRISM, RAYTRAK, & APEX

Logisticians Certification (APICS/Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM) or other industry certification)

Continuous Process Improvement knowledge and experience

Working knowledge of global trade standards and process for both imports and exports

Active Powered Handling Equipment certification
-
Active DOT and IATA Certifications and detailed knowledge of DOT/IATA shipment standards

The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
