Our Avionics team has invested heavily in automation equipment in our various sites, and this role is key to aligning all the sites vision under a single, cohesive plan to ensure our technology delivers its intended savings.
This role offers a blend of independent initiative and teamwork, involving close collaboration with manufacturing engineers, production personnel, management, facilities, advanced manufacturing, and NPI organizations. Located onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our operational excellence and innovation. What You Will Do:

Become a subject matter expert on manufacturing processes utilizing the latest automation machinery

Develop and manage site-level and Iowa-level automation roadmaps, aligning priorities, timelines and savings.

Knowledge of machine/capability

Program Management skills-

Organize/prioritize new production automation/technology onboarding to sites

Resource planning; machine/HC
-
Liaison between sites , Adv Mfg, and NPI
-
Identify process improvements opportunities using analysis, modeling, benchmarking, research, etc.

Conduct studies on cost control, productivity, cost reduction, inventory, and production record systems
-
Contribute to plans for allocation of resources, materials, and personnel to establish maximum utilization
-
Prepare project cost estimates and cost benefit analysis to validate cost against pertinent business plan(s) and program expectations

Achieve economic goals for complex systems and products in production and/or under development
-
Ability to travel around Iowa Ops sites frequently is required, however limited overnight stays needed

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience

Demonstrated knowledge of data collection, analysis, and visualization

Experience working with Operations Automation equipment and ability to learn new machinery coming to the our sites

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
