We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager Production to join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kiel facility.

What you will do:

Oversee the day-to-day operations of all shifts of one or more manufacturing production areas.

Direct staffing, development, and performance management programs for operations staff.

Manage, motivate and develop a production management team.

Lead with high standards and accountability.

Oversee operations activities, ensuring that safety, production schedules and performance requirements are met and resources are used effectively.

Take full accountability for Quality within production and execute feedback loop to causal parties to drive Root Cause Corrective Actions.

Monitor overall operations performance and implement production safety, cost, and quality control mechanisms.

Lead production reporting and monitor / audit production metrics

Ensure compliance with all regulatory guidelines and create a safe and sound manufacturing environment.

Partner effectively with functional peers in Supply Chain, EHS & HR to meet operational goals.

Skills you must have:

Manufacturing Operations: Knowledge of manufacturing operations; ability to perform day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility for products.

Manufacturing Safety: Expertise in manufacturing safety; ability to identify work-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers, environment and site.

Analytical Thinking: Understanding of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.

Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization

Problem Solving: Familiarity with approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.

Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent experience desired.

Very good German (at least C1) and very good English skills (at least B2).

Additional Information:

We are back! This role requires being in the office five days a week.
