The Microsystems team at GE Aerospace Research is looking for engineers who are interested in the research and development of Microelectronics solutions and their integration into Aerospace products. As an Analog and Mixed-Signal Electronics Engineer, you will work closely with a highly experienced multidisciplinary team to help develop world-leading technology for our wide range of customers. In this role, you will contribute to the development and test of state-of-the-art mixed-signal integrated circuits, enabling performance breakthroughs that differentiate our advanced microsystems sensing solutions.

Job Description
As an Engineer, you will:
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians pushing the state of the art in Microsystems.
- Support the design and test of circuits in the mixed-signal domain under guidance from senior engineers.
- Assist in developing and evaluating mixed-signal integrated circuits for advanced microsystems sensing solutions.
- Contribute to status updates and technical communications with key stakeholders.
- Participate in test platform development, laboratory testing, data collection, and analysis to validate circuit and system performance.
- Document designs, test results, and technical learnings in reports and presentations.
Required Qualifications
- MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline with a focus on microelectronics, analog, or mixed-signal circuits. OR
- A BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a closely related engineering with 3 or more years of related work experience in microelectronics (industrial, government, or research lab experience)
In addition, all candidates must have:
- Foundational coursework or project experience in analog and/or mixed-signal circuit design.
- Exposure to mixed-signal simulation tools (for example, SPICE-based tools or similar) through coursework, internships, or research projects.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY.
Desired Characteristics
- Hands-on experience (course projects, internships, or research) with analog or mixed-signal circuit design and testing.
- Basic knowledge of low noise, high impedance measurement systems, including noise sources and parasitic effects.
- Familiarity with CAD tools (e.g., Cadence, Mentor, or similar) gained through coursework or projects.
- Exposure to precision analog circuits such as amplifiers, ADC/DAC interfaces, or sensor front ends.
- Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and willingness to learn from senior engineers and scientists.
- Proficiency with statistical tools and analysis at a basic level (e.g., data fitting, variance analysis, simple experimental design).
- Working knowledge of mainstream programming languages: Python, C++, C# or other language for development of complex electrical systems and test protocol automation.
- Good presentation, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt to change and willingness to be flexible in a global team environment.
The base pay range for this position is 86,000 - 130,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on February 5, 2026
