About the opportunity:
Join Sizewell C, one of the UK’s flagship nuclear megaprojects, supporting national Net Zero ambitions. As Configuration Lead, you ensure robust configuration management across delivery programmes—establishing technical clarity, controlling change, and maintaining a reliable project baseline on a highly complex, multi‑disciplinary infrastructure project.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and maintain configuration management plans aligned to project scope.
Develop and improve CM procedures, standards, guidance, tools and forms.
Define configuration item criteria and oversee identification and recording of CIs.
Ensure baselines, changes, records, audits and status reports are established and maintained.
Administer change control processes and support programme teams through approvals.
Produce and oversee Configuration Status Reports for management decision‑making.
Provide CM training and coaching to programme teams and mentor CM Engineers.
Engage stakeholders across technical, engineering and programme functions.
Work with Engineering Data/IM teams to ensure CM requirements are delivered in tools and datasets.
Here's What You'll Need:
Strong capability in applying and coordinating configuration management on large, complex programmes.
Ability to define practical CM procedures aligned to project needs.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering procedures.
High standards of accuracy, organisation, proactivity, communication and teamwork.
Experience delivering CM within major infrastructure or similar environments.
Solid understanding of engineering principles and multi‑disciplinary project environments.
Desirable
Knowledge of CM standards (ISO 10007, EIA 649, GEIA‑HB‑649, Def Stan 05‑57).
Experience with PLM tools.
CM certification (e.g., CM2) or engineering degree.
Experience on nuclear/EPR projects (HPC or similar).
