Position Description
Flynn Taco Bell is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead the FP&A function for our Taco Bell brand. This highly visible role will drive financial strategy, enhance forecasting and budgeting processes, and deliver critical insights during a period of continued growth and operational scaling across our Taco Bell restaurants.
The position will also support FP&A capabilities across other Flynn Restaurant Group business units as needed, offering exposure to enterprise-level financial initiatives across the broader Flynn portfolio.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments and is passionate about building scalable FP&A processes, delivering actionable insights, and developing high-performing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the FP&A function for Flynn Taco Bell, with additional support for other business units as required
- Build sophisticated financial models and scenario analyses to inform capital allocation, marketing investments, expense management, labor planning, and restaurant-level performance
- Conduct periodic financial reviews, including variance analysis, financial statement review, and tracking of key business and financial drivers to assess implications for future performance
- Serve as a strategic finance partner to the Taco Bell leadership team, translating complex financial data into actionable insights that drive growth, profitability, and capital efficiency
- Provide data-driven recommendations to optimize resource allocation, pricing strategies, and investment decisions
- Design and implement best-in-class, scalable FP&A processes, tools, and systems to improve forecasting accuracy, streamline workflows, and elevate strategic insight delivery
- Mentor and develop finance professionals through active coaching, structured development plans, and skill-building in analytics, communication, presentation, and leadership
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging innovation in financial modeling, reporting automation, and process efficiency
- Promote cross-functional collaboration across finance and the broader organization to share best practices and enhance financial acumen
- Serve as an objective financial steward with an enterprise-wide perspective, balancing brand-specific priorities with broader organizational goals
Required Qualifications and Experience
- 10–15 years of progressive finance experience, including at least 5 years leading FP&A functions in complex, multi-unit or consumer-facing organizations
- Proven track record of leading complex financial analyses and positively influencing business outcomes
- Experience driving high-impact initiatives with diverse executive and operational stakeholders
- Self-starter with demonstrated success navigating ambiguity and delivering results in dynamic, growth-oriented environments
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and advanced financial modeling capabilities
- Experience supporting multiple business units, ideally including high-growth or early-stage operations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across all organizational levels
- Demonstrated success building, mentoring, and developing high-performing FP&A teams
- Strong ability to link operational activities to financial results
- High emotional intelligence, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative approach that balances individual accountability with team success
- Comfort working independently or collaboratively, with a hands-on approach to deliver results as needed
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with Microsoft Power BI, SAP, and/or Workday is a plus
