As a Supply Chain Source to Scale Commodity Product Lead within the Munitions Acceleration Energetics & Propulsion (E&P) Commodity team, you will serve as an individual contributor with strong influential leadership in a matrixed environment. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams to execute Raytheon’s Munitions Acceleration Team charter. The mission is to ensure the supply base is capable of meeting increasing demand through supplier readiness, capacity growth, and operational excellence across one of our critical sub-commodities, including rocket motors, missile engines, firing devices, and warheads.
This role requires a proactive leader with the ability to analyze data, develop strategies, execute supplier transitions, and influence across multiple functions and teams. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful ramp-up of suppliers to meet program requirements and align with Raytheon’s broader mission objectives.
What You Will Do:
• Data Analysis & Insights:

- Analyze data, demand, and proposals to provide proactive insights that support business operations and growth forecasts.

- Evaluate supplier capabilities to meet business needs by mapping their capabilities against demand and forecasts.

- Analyze and interpret data from various Raytheon sources to create actionable insights and ensure alignment with supplier forecasts.
• Project & Supplier Program Management:
-
- Develop project plans and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) to manage cost, quality, and schedule for supplier startups or transitions.

- Manage multiple small and large projects simultaneously in partnership with Program Managers.

- Use critical chain tools to effectively manage projects and ensure timely delivery of results.
• Supplier Readiness & Growth:
-
- Partner with suppliers to stand up new factories and transition products into production.

- Collaborate cross-functionally to establish and execute a "Grow, Maintain, Reduce, Exit (GMRE)" supplier strategy.

- Develop, mature, and implement growth strategies for an E&P sub-commodity, ensuring alignment with program and corporate objectives.
• Cross-Functional Leadership:

- Lead cross-functional supplier management teams, leveraging strong influential leadership skills in a matrixed organizational environment.

- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders across functions, SBUs, and supplier organizations.
• Risk & Opportunity Management:
-
- Evaluate active risks and opportunities with programs to prioritize near-term mitigation and/or capture projects.

- Support multiple supply chain organizations, including Procurement and Strategic Sourcing, to ensure strategies are aligned with technology roadmaps.
• Strategic Communication:

- Communicate effectively at all levels of the business, providing clear updates, insights, and recommendations.
Qualifications You Must Have:
• Typically requires a University degree in engineering, supply chain, business, finance, or a related field or equivalent and at minimum 10 years of related experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and 7 years of related experience.
• Ability to travel domestically (some international travel may be required) approximately 30%.

Qualifications We Prefer:
• Experience with program management principles, including development lifecycle, risk management, action item tracking, metrics management, and subcontract management.
• Knowledge of program budgets, financial forecasting, and cost/schedule management.
• Experience transitioning products to new suppliers and managing supplier startups.
• Understanding of how energetics and propulsion systems are produced.
• Proficiency in managing multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Strong facilitating and coordination skills, including the ability to lead by influence.
• Experience with resource planning software (e.g., SAP).
• Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Self-starter with a creative and innovative mindset for problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Applications, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, and Excel.
• Strong communication skills and expertise in presenting to varied audiences.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and end-to-end product life-cycle management in a supply chain organization.
• Adaptability and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated diligence, reliability, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Strong collaboration skills, with an ability to balance stakeholder expectations and maintain effective working relationships.

Remote: This position currently is designated as remote. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The successful candidate for this role will be required to reside and work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. territories).

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
