Plan and perform a variety of industrial painting tasks to prepare, coat, and refinish interior and exterior equipment, materials, and structures

Prepare surfaces using appropriate methods such as rust removal, grinding, sanding, pressure washing, media blasting, masking, and patching
-
Apply standard and specialty coatings to materials such as metal, fiberglass, carbon fiber, and wood using brushes, rollers, and conventional or airless spray equipment
-
Select appropriate application methods, tools, and nozzles based on surface type, coating material, and job requirements
-
Mix, tint, blend, and match coatings including enamels, lacquers, stains, acrylics, varnishes, epoxies, and other finishing materials to specified color shades
-
Perform fiberglass repairs such as patching, scratch removal, buffing, and polishing to restore surfaces to original specifications

Clean, maintain, and properly store painting tools and equipment including spray guns, brushes, rollers, hoses, and related accessories

Use ladders, scaffolding, scissor lifts, and boom lifts as required to safely access work areas

Comply with all company, federal, state, environmental, health, and safety regulations, including proper use of required personal protective equipment such as respirators

Work in a manufacturing or maintenance environment that may involve standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, use of hand and power tools, and exposure to coatings and solvents

Lift and carry items up to 25 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Complete required documentation and maintain records using basic computer systems to support compliance and training requirements

Support Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) initiatives as part of assigned job responsibilities

Complete required training and maintain licenses, operator permits, or certifications as applicable to assigned equipment or work areas

Qualifications You Must Have
-
High School Diploma or GED
-
Minimum of 1 year of experience performing painting work in aerospace, automotive, commercial, or industrial environments

Experience preparing surfaces and applying coatings using spray equipment, rollers, or brushes
-
Experience working with industrial coatings and finishing materials
-
Experience following work instructions and safety procedures in a regulated work environment
Qualifications We Prefer

Experience in automotive, marine, or industrial painting environments

Familiarity with fiberglass repair and finishing techniques
