Pay Range: $120,000/yr. – $142,000/yr. based on experience and qualifications.
A well-established, high-growth food manufacturing company is seeking a Manager,
Maintenance Planning & Scheduling, to support a large, modern production facility in the
Greater Boston area. This role is responsible for owning the maintenance planning and
scheduling function, ensuring equipment reliability, PM compliance, labor efficiency, and parts
readiness.
The position works closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Production Planning, and Operations
and plays a key role in driving uptime, safety, and continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
- Lead all maintenance planning and scheduling activities for planned and unplanned work
- Own’s CMMS, including PM programs, data accuracy, reporting, and analytics
- Partner with Production Planning and Operations to coordinate maintenance downtime
- Drive 100% PM completion and continuously improve PM effectiveness using equipment
- history and data analysis
- Manage maintenance backlog, shift scheduling, and downtime work planning
- Optimize labor utilization by aligning work with required skill levels and safety training
- Oversee Parts Room operations and collaborate with Inventory to ensure parts availability
- Track and report KPIs, providing data-driven recommendations to maintenance leadership
- Coordinate contractors, inspections, calibrations, validations, and external services
- Support safety initiatives and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability
- Hire, train, develop, and coach maintenance staff and supervisors
- Serve as backup to the Maintenance Manager as needed
- Other duties as assigned
WHAT YOU’LL BRING WITH YOU:
- 4–6+ years of CMMS experience in food manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing
- environment
- 3–5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience preferred
- Minimum of 5 years managing teams, including hourly employees
- Strong background in maintenance planning, scheduling, and reliability improvement
- Experience with parts room operations and inventory management
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data and KPIs
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and wearing required PPE
Pay: $120,000.00 - $142,000.00 per year
