About the Team
The Workday Success Plans team is dedicated to helping our customers realize ongoing value from their Workday applications after go-live. We design and deliver targeted programs that drive adoption, optimization, and business outcomes across the Workday platform.
Within Success Plans, this role focuses on Workday Revenue (Contracts to Cash). Our customers look to us as their trusted advisors for configuring, optimizing, and extending their revenue processes in Workday, including Project Billing, Customer Contracts, Customer Accounts, and Revenue Recognition.

About the Role
As a Senior Workday Revenue (Contracts to Cash) Functional Consultant – Workday Success Plans, you will work directly with Workday customers to ensure they are fully leveraging Workday Revenue. You will:
Serve as a functional configuration expert for Workday Revenue, owning design and configuration across Customer Contracts, Revenue Schedules, Project Billing, and Customer Accounts.
Deliver targeted, micro-consulting engagements and office-hours style sessions to help customers solve specific revenue-related business problems using Workday.
Perform tenant reviews and configuration assessments to identify optimization and adoption opportunities across the Contracts to Cash lifecycle.
Design and deliver feature demonstrations, Accelerator webinars, and enablement sessions to help customers understand and adopt new and existing Workday Revenue capabilities.
Partner with customers to translate business requirements into scalable, best-practice Workday Revenue configurations.
This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about Workday Revenue, enjoys configuration “hands-on,” and loves working directly with customers in a consulting capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Consulting & Advisory
Deliver appointment-based consulting (e.g., Office Hours, micro-consulting sessions) focused on Workday Revenue configuration and optimization.
Gather and analyze customer business requirements across Project Billing, Customer Contracts, Revenue Recognition, and Customer Accounts.
Provide design options, recommendations, and configuration guidance aligned to Workday and industry best practices.
Configuration & Troubleshooting
Configure and optimize Workday Revenue components, including but not limited to:
Project Billing: Resource Plans, Resource Forecasting, Project Budgeting, Standard Rate Sheets, Labor Costing
Customer Accounts: Invoicing, Payment and Application, Collections, Refunds
Customer Contracts: Revenue Recognition Schedules, Revenue Schedules, Multiple Element Revenue Allocation, Billing Schedules, Rate Sheets
Troubleshoot complex product configurations and data issues; propose and implement optimal configuration solutions.
Perform configuration and business requirements reviews, and produce detailed deliverables outlining findings, risks, and optimization recommendations.
Customer Enablement & Adoption
Create and deliver Accelerator Webinars, feature deep dives, and demos that show customers how to use Workday Revenue features to achieve business goals.
Provide one-on-one consulting to accelerate feature adoption and help customers deploy or extend Workday Revenue capabilities.
Conduct Feature Adoption Tenant Reviews for Workday Revenue, identifying underused functionality and designing adoption plans.
Thought Leadership & Continuous Learning
Maintain up-to-date expertise in Workday Revenue (Contracts to Cash), including new features and roadmap.
Stay current on industry practices and regulatory trends impacting revenue recognition, billing, and contracts-to-cash processes.
Contribute feedback to internal teams to help improve Success Plans offerings and develop new programs that drive customer adoption and value.
About You
Basic Qualifications (SR)
5+ years of hands-on, functional configuration experience with Workday Revenue (Contracts to Cash), including ownership of configuration design, build, and support for at least one or more of the following:
Project Billing (Resource Plans, Resource Forecasting, Project Budgeting, Standard Rate Sheets, Labor Costing)
Customer Contracts (Revenue Recognition Schedules, Revenue Schedules, Multiple Element Revenue Allocation, Billing Schedules, Rate Sheets)
Customer Accounts (Invoicing, Payment and Application, Collections, Refunds)
5+ years’ experience with Workday Financials and financial systems, with a primary focus on Contracts to Cash and revenue processes.
3+ years of consulting experience (internal COE or external clients) specifically advising on Workday Revenue configuration—including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration reviews, and recommendations.
Demonstrated experience owning Workday Revenue configuration, not only collaborating with or supporting downstream finance teams.
Proven track record of troubleshooting and optimizing Workday Revenue configurations, including identifying root causes and implementing best-practice solutions.
Basic Qualifications (Functional)

Other Qualifications:
Current or recent Workday certification in a relevant Financials/Revenue area (e.g., Contracts to Cash, Customer Accounts, Project Billing, or related Financials certifications), or the ability to obtain certification within a defined timeframe.
Demonstrated ability to explain complex Workday Revenue concepts to non-technical stakeholders through clear documentation, presentations, and demos.
Experience designing and delivering webinars, enablement sessions, or formal training on Workday Financials / Revenue topics.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to evaluate complex business processes and translate them into scalable Workday designs.
Proven ability to multitask and manage multiple customer engagements and deliverables in parallel.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills; comfortable interacting with finance leaders, IT, and end users.
Experience working in or with large, global enterprises and understanding of multi-entity, multi-currency revenue scenarios.
Ability to travel up to 10-20%, based on customer and business needs.
Who You Are:
You’re a Workday Revenue functional expert who enjoys rolling up your sleeves in configuration and partnering directly with customers to solve real revenue and contracts-to-cash challenges. You’re equally comfortable deep in a tenant configuring revenue schedules and rate sheets, or leading a virtual session where you explain those concepts to non-technical stakeholders. The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Additional Considerations:
If performed in Colorado, the pay range for this job is $117,000 - $175,400 USD based on min and max pay range for that role if performed in CO.
