Job Description Summary
Responsible for conducting financial analysis on lease and purchase transactions (office and industrial properties) and assisting with client-facing documentation. Will work with Power BI and Excel for spreadsheet creation to visualize numbers and behind the scenes analytics.
The selected candidate will support a team of brokerage professionals providing corporate real estate services to both local Chicago-based and multi-market private companies and public corporations. The to-be-hired analyst will be a part of the team located in Chicago, IL, and will provide sophisticated financial underwriting and analytical services to clients in real estate transactions.
Job Description
- Prepares cash flow analysis, summary documentation and spreadsheets.
- Prepares site related analyses for global client locations
- Analyzes legal real estate documentation: i.e. leases, corporate financial statements
- Under general supervision, provides basic financial analysis on real estate transactions.
- Will be reading RFP's and leases and working on lease vs. own analysis
- High-volume, team-oriented role supporting two teams on leasing and purchase side
Competencies
- Able to prepare and conduct written and oral presentations; communicates accurately, effectively and persuasively.
- Strong math skills; proficient in working with numbers.
- Attention to detail; performs basic, efficient error free analysis
- Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Proficient in Power BI
- Expert knowledge of excel to perform financial and data analytics
- Bachelor Degree; Business or Finance preferred
- Minimum of 3+ years of real estate or comparable financial modeling/analysis experience
- Advanced research skills
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a timely and thorough manner; self-starter
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while prioritizing effectively
- Professional, and customer service oriented with opportunity to become client-facing over time
- Ability to work on-site in the Chicago office 5 days/week

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
The compensation for the position is: $ 68,000.00 - $80,000.00
