Lead the design and delivery of the GE9X high pressure turbine (HPT) airfoils, such as blades ,shrouds and hangers, for the world’s most powerful commercial jet engine. You’ll own end-to-end outcomes across design, analysis, hardware, manufacturing, field support, and test, guiding a high-performing team to deliver safety, quality, and reliability at scale.
Job Description
What you’ll do
Lead technical strategy and execution
- Own the design, analysis, and evaluation of HPT blades, shrouds, and hangers using disciplined engineering methods and standards
- Integrate work across design, analysis, manufacturing, test, and field to meet program requirements on schedule and budget
Deliver product excellence
- Resolve complex technical issues; drive design maturation, risk burn-down, and configuration control
- Provide manufacturing and field support; close the loop with data from test and service to improve durability and performance
Communicate and influence
- Prepare and present technical content to internal/external stakeholders and customers
- Lead and contribute to design reviews, program reviews, and cross-functional initiatives
Grow capability
- Mentor and develop engineers; foster high standards for safety, quality, delivery, and cost
- Author technical documentation and invention disclosures that protect competitive advantage

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a design engineering position
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
Desired Characteristics
- Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited college or university
- 8+ years of experience in a design engineering position
- Deep experience designing, testing, and certifying turbine blades or hot-section hardware
- Proficiency in lifing, heat transfer, structural analysis, and aero-mechanical behavior of HPT components
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional problem solving to identify and implement improved standard work and processes.
- Clear, confident communicator who can influence at all levels, including customers
- Proven mentoring and team leadership; passion for developing talent
- Experience with manufacturing methods for hot-section components (e.g., forging/casting, coatings, cooling features)
- Proven track record of collaboration and driving measurable team outcomes (e.g., improved delivery, quality, and cycle time) through clear communication, accountability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

How you’ll work
- Location: on-site in West Chester, OH, with occasional flexibility to WFH based on program needs
- Travel: ~10%, domestic
- Work authorization: Role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information
