Lockheed Martin provides Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) based High Performance Computing (HPC) services through the HPC lifecycle for computational requirements, architecture, acquisition, and operations to federal government customers. CSCF provides key supercomputing capabilities for solving important problems in science and technology. CSCF is involved in efforts to develop scientific software and libraries for HPC platforms. The tasks involve working on cutting edge HPC technologies to ensure that scientists and engineers will be able to fully utilize modern HPC systems.
We are seeking a Linux Administrator SME for our support teams which includes our Centralized SuperComputing Facility (CSCF) High Performance Computing and other contracts.
The CSCF Linux HPC Administration team is responsible for day-to-day operations working to provide full spectrum support for the product and the implementations on the various contracts. You will work closely with the contract teams, users, and government to ensure the systems meet requirements and fully support each program’s needs.
An individual should have demonstrated his/her problem-solving ability.
We are looking for an individual with a majority of the experience listed.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Automation of all tasking, debugging, and other day-to-day functions
• Create backups and migrate them to tape for long term storage
• Work with users one-on-one to solve their access and computer problems
• Install software libraries functioning in RHEL/SE Linux environment using Bash and/or Expect scripting built from a template while following program procedures
• Apply best practices in software engineering, delivering projects on time and with excellent quality
• Provide support to security and administration staff as well as end users to resolve issues
• Modify existing scripting to correct errors and/or improve performance
• Provide SME level Linux support to the O&M staff
• Create and/or update comprehensive documentation on all aspects of the contracts computer support

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an AIS degree required plus 10 years of experience
• A minimum of 5 years of experience developing system software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
• Proficiency in Bourne/Bash and Expect scripting
• Proficiency in debugging issues with the Linux kernel including examining source code, system logs, and using tools such a crash and systemtap.
• Experience with managing Satellite repositories to apply patches and build custom kernels as required to implement functionality or address security concerns
• Familiarity with automating approaches to configuring and maintaining (e.g. patching) systems using Ansible and Satellite Server
• Understanding and experience working with identity management systems including LDAP and token-based authentication systems
Must have active TS//SCI with CI Poly to start
Desired Skills:• Familiarity with High Performance Computing (HPC) environment and related technologies
• Familiarity with Infiniband or Omni-Path high speed fabrics, including subnet management, IPoIB and/or IPoOPA mechanisms, fabric topology and health monitoring and integration with MPI
• Experience with Lustre, NFS, and other direct attach file systems
• Experience with Ethernet networking
• Experience with RDMA communications (InfiniBand and OmniPath)
• Knowledge of Python, Perl, Korn, and other shell scripting
• Experience with revision control software (CVS, SVN, Git)
• SE Linux experience: configuration and policy
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, debug and maintain the integrity of an existing scripting base
• Demonstrated organization skills to balance and prioritize work, and ability to multitask
• Demonstrated communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customer, and managers
• Excellent written and oral communication and people skills; excellent time management and organizational skill

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
