We have an opening for a Principal Specialist, Contracts supporting our portfolio for the F/A-18 APG-79 production programs and the APG-82 Shipborne contracts with Naval Power (IOT)/NAVSEA within the Fire Control Radar Products (FCRP) program area. Responsibilities will include partnering with the Program Manager, Finance Manager, Chief Engineer, and functional program team members to review and understand contractual requirements and support the preparation and submission of proposals. The successful candidate will work in a challenging, fast-paced environment reporting to the Senior Manager, Contracts for F-18 Production Programs.
What You Will Do

Collaborate with Program Managers, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain and Legal and be a critical member of the Program Management Office (PMO)

Own contract management/administration actions on proposals and contracts across the acquisition life cycle

Identify risks, assessing performance requirements scope applicability, advising management of contractual rights and obligations, and managing the contracts in the portfolio post-award

Manage customer relationships to ensure key customer desires are met

Interface with customers during the contract execution phase and must be prepared to advise the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract, offering solutions to mitigate contractual/program risks, acting as a focal point of contact with the customer for all contractual matters, change management, and driving contractual issues to closure
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years’ prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience

Experience administering U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) (to include proposal preparation and/or review, contract negotiation, change management)
-
Experience working proposals subject to the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act (commonly known as the TINA)
-
Experience with Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and/or Fixed Price Incentive Fee (FPIF)
Qualifications We Prefer
-
Experience with proposals and contract administration of both production and development contracts
-
Experience with Incentive-type contracts, such as Fixed-Price Incentive Firm (CPIF) contracts and Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF) contracts
-
Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
-
Working knowledge in the use and application of APEX, ICMS and SAP
-
Existing Secret Clearance

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
