The Materials Supervisor ensures that critical dynamic‑component materials are available to support mission‑critical systems, directly influencing production efficiency and cost effectiveness for our customers. Your leadership will help maintain the seamless flow of parts that underpin national security objectives.
THE WORKThis role oversees manufacturing planning and material management across multiple functions, guaranteeing MRP integrity and inventory optimization.
You will:
• Lead a team of union/represented material associates to execute commitments and deliveries, aligning efforts with production schedules.
• Manage inventory optimization initiatives that reduce cost and improve material flow, applying strong problem‑solving to maintain system integrity.
• Coordinate recruitment, selection, training, and performance assessments for subordinate staff, fostering a high‑performing workforce in a union environment.
• Oversee warehousing and shipping operations, ensuring timely delivery of parts to the floor and responding swiftly to shifting priorities or emergencies.
• Supervise daily production system performance, monitor schedules, and provide guidance to resolve issues, maintaining impact on overall manufacturing efficiency.
• Develop and implement process improvements for MRP transactions, driving effective solutions that enhance data accuracy and support strategic objectives.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
