And our Pricing & Revenue Management team is providing fuel for that journey by ensuring that we maximize our ticket revenue on every single flight across our network – both domestically and internationally – while giving our customers various product offerings for their travel. By analyzing market trends and forecasting consumer demand, this team works hard to ensure we are selling the right number of tickets at the right price to optimize our revenue and run a profitable airline.
Job overview and responsibilities
Drive incremental revenues in a product management role to create new and enhance existing Revenue Management technologies and business processes. Coordinate cross-functional implementation of system changes with all Pricing & Revenue Management market groups, RMIT (Revenue Management Information Technology) and Analytics & Innovation (Data Science) team.
- Evaluate project ideas and requests received by the team, determine benefits, feasibility, and develop testing and implementation plans and timelines
- Communicate status and recommendations effectively to management
- Act as a resource for Pricing Revenue Management market groups to investigate and resolve core support issues, coordinating with IT when necessary
- Support identification and research of business opportunities in Revenue Management
- Participate in discussion with stakeholders both inside and outside the department and transform feedback into business requirements for systems development
- Lead user testing for system enhancements, collect feedback from users, and deliver findings
- Work with Revenue Decision Support leadership to plan future directions for systems and business processes
- Develop practical and theoretically grounded guidance to support the department’s decisions working collaboratively with RMIT and Analytics & Innovation teams
- Support cross-departmental efforts to implement solutions where necessary
- Assist documentation efforts of Revenue Management systems and business processes
NOTE: This position provides a hybrid work arrangement including approximately 50% of the time spent working onsite at our Chicago office location and 50% remotely.
- Bachelor's degree (Operations Research, Math, Statistics, Economics or an equivalent analytical degree)
- 1-3+ years of applicable work experience
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and project manage
- Naturally curious and a strong aptitude to learn
- Beginner SQL skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Office
- Logical and structured approach to complex tasks
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
- Master's degree
- Experience with data visualization and analysis tools such as Spotfire, Power BI, Python, R
- Intermediate SQL
- Ability to understand the use of sophisticated models
NOTE: This position may be hired at the Analyst level or Senior Analyst level, depending on candidate background, skill level and experience.
The base pay range for this role is $66,500.00 to $106,602.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
