Position Job Summary
ABM is seeking a polished, business-savvy Technical Account Manager to lead the deployment, performance, and continuous improvement of technology solutions across multiple high-profile client sites in NY, NJ, and DC area. This is a hands-on, client-facing role that bridges the gap between business objectives, operational needs, and technical execution.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a professional presence suitable for executive-level client interactions. This role requires proactive leadership across multiple locations, ensuring that ABM’s smart technologies, IoT platforms, and digital task management systems are implemented effectively and deliver measurable results.
Reports directly to the Senior Technology Ops Manager and collaborating with field operations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for ABM’s technology operations at prestigious B&I client sites.
- Represent ABM with a polished, professional demeanor in all client interactions, including executive briefings and visit client sites.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with client stakeholders, site managers, and executive leadership team.
- Oversee the hands-on deployment, configuration, and support of technology platforms across multiple facilities.
- Ensure consistent execution and performance of technology solutions across all assigned locations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with operational standards, service-level agreements, and client-specific KPIs.
- Lead the planning, execution, and communication of technology initiatives, from pilot programs to full-scale rollouts.
- Translate business and operational needs into actionable technical solutions.
- Coordinate with internal IT and product teams to align local deployments with enterprise standards.
- Provide real-time support for smart building systems, mobile platforms, and digital task management tools.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, escalating when necessary to ensure minimal disruption.
- Maintain visibility into the health and performance of all deployed systems.
- Train and guide on-site personnel and operational managers on the effective use of technology tools.
- Develop and maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and training materials to support adoption and compliance.
- Act as a mentor and technical resource for field teams, ensuring consistent knowledge transfer and support.
- Ensure all technology operations adhere to corporate safety, security, and data handling policies.
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations, deployments, and operational metrics.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 5 plus years of experience in technical operations, IT project management, or IT portfolio management.
- Experience leading process improvement and digital transformation initiatives,
- Proven track record of diagnosing and resolving complex issues at the intersection of technology systems and business operations.
- Proven ability to manage technology programs across multiple locations.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of facility services or building operations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Experience with IoT systems(Wi-Fi, BLE, gateways, sensors), mobile device management (Android and iOS), and digital workflow platforms.
- 7+ years of experience in technical operations, IT project management, or client technology role.
- Experience in a client-facing role within a high-visibility or executive environment.
- Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and smart building platforms.
- PMP or similar project management certification.
