In Instrumentation Laboratory we develop instrumentation needed to support engines and component tests. We are looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to play a key role in the instrumentation process.
In this role, you will have to deep dive the test requirements and purpose to define and select the needed instrumentation; to define the application methods, to collaborate with the hardware owners for the HW rework and routing definition, to utilize the testing design practices and procedures, to do the needed design reviews; to coordinate the team in the execution of the instrumentation application. You will contribute to coordinate the instrumentation team of the internal laboratories, the suppliers and the partners of the activities and You will collaborate with the component and module design owners and CTHs.
Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
Support Instrumentation team for selecting, integrating the instrumentation solution in the testing articles; application technique selection and functional impact on the hardware of the test article, in close cooperation with teams of model engineering and component owners.
Execute the needed design reviews for the specific project with the CTH community
Coordinate and check the application activities including assembly operation
Report instrumentation activities and collaborate to issue documentation to asses instrumentation application conformity
Check the instrumentation during the test to eventually support in troubleshooting and repair activities
Contribute to plan the instrumentation activities according to the Program target, monitor the progress and execute them on time, on cost and on quality
Consider instrumentation technique impact on Environmental, Health and Safety work place working with EHS focal points
Definition of new instrumentation applications according to the Program needs including the relative validation plan
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aeronautics, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering
Previous working experience with instrumentation utilization
Good knowledge of mechanical components design and familiarity with mechanical drawings
Basic knowledge of 3D modelling drawing tools (NX, Teamcenter)
Availability for three shift work
English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral
Work Visa, in accordance with local regulation, is required
Desired Characteristics
Basic background in instrumentation characteristics, measurement and acquisition systems
Basic background in instrumentation calibration
Knowledge of aeronautical engines configuration and operation
Project management skills to plan and monitor the activities in terms of schedule and costs
Clear thinking and diligent approach
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment
Strong oral and written communication skills
Team working with internal and external Partner/Customer.
Capacity of leading cross functional and multicultural teams
PC proficiency
Availability for frequent business travel in international contest.
