Job Description Summary
The Quality Specialist will support additive print operations by managing quality documentation and systems, performing inspections, driving nonconformance management and RCCA, and ensuring compliance to customer and regulatory requirements. This role partners closely with operations, engineering, and supply chain to maintain the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery performance for customer programs.
Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Documentation & Systems
Manage CUST-F02 documentation for the intake process for print jobs
Maintain and manage BlueStreak quality documentation and records
Review and upload Certificates of Conformance (CoCs) to BlueStreak or designated repositories
Maintain the Quality BlueStreak NCR master report
Update quality documents/procedures and document standard work as needed
Prepare comprehensive Quality Packages for customer presentation
Inspections & Compliance
Perform incoming inspection for parts from farm-out suppliers and review certifications to Statements of Work (SoWs)
Conduct internal visual inspections and support First Article Inspections (FAIs)
Execute ballooning of drawings for FAIs and inspection planning
Review/approve Air Products Gas Certifications and Cohen Scrap Certifications
Complete compliance matrices with objective evidence for NAVAIR and Pacer Edge programs (spreadsheets breaking down requirements across 5–6 specifications per contract)
Nonconformance & RCCA
Manage nonconformance data and trends; initiate and track RCCAs as needed
Provide NCR and KPI inputs for monthly Bowler reviews and management reviews
Maintain scrap control and management processes; review and approve associated documentation
Supplier & Farm-Out Oversight
Review SoWs for approval for all farm-out operations
Support supplier management on RCCA, quality issues, and documentation alignment
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure adherence to customer, regulatory, and internal requirements
Audits, Readiness & Meetings
Support internal audits and readiness for AS9100 audits; help the shop prepare and sustain compliance
Participate in daily PCC meetings and provide quality status/updates
Support QEP Level 1 and 2 activities and objectives
Manage specimen storage control and traceability
Hands-on experience with:
Nonconformance management and RCCA methodologies
FAIs, ballooning drawings, and inspection planning
Reviewing CoCs and supplier certifications to SoWs/specifications
Managing quality records in systems such as BlueStreak (or similar QMS/MES)
Working knowledge of AS9100, aerospace customer specifications, and compliance documentation (e.g., NAVAIR, Pacer Edge)
Proficiency with Excel-based compliance matrices, KPIs, and data reporting
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications (GD&T familiarity)
Strong attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and follow-through
Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from accredited university or college with minimum of 1 years of professional experience OR Associates degree with minimum of 4 years of professional experience OR High School Diploma with minimum of 6 years of professional experience
Note: Military experience is equivalent to professional experience
3+ years of experience in quality assurance within manufacturing;
additive manufacturing or precision aerospace experience preferred
Eligibility Requirement:
Desired Characteristics
Experience in additive manufacturing processes and post-processing workflows
Experience participating in or leading internal audits (AS9100, NADCAP exposure a plus)
Formal training in RCCA/8D, PPAP/APQP, or similar quality tools
Familiarity with gas and scrap certification review processes
Prior experience with customer-facing quality packages and reviews
