Description:You will be the Industrial Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for advancing manufacturing excellence across the Missiles and Fire Control portfolio.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Industrial Engineer you will be responsible for analyzing and improving production processes, applying lean principles, and driving measurable productivity and quality gains.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Support process‑improvement projects across the manufacturing footprint.
- Collect and analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and waste.
- Develop and update work‑cell layouts and material‑handling flows for improved ergonomics and throughput.
- Implement lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen events, value‑stream mapping, and poka‑yoke, tracking performance metrics.
- Collaborate with supply‑chain, quality, and manufacturing teams to reduce lead‑time variability and drive productivity.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:-Generally has 1+ years of related experience and may have a post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
-Familiarity with lean tools (5S, Kaizen, value‑stream mapping).
-Basic knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab) and CAD/layout tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio).
-Strong analytical mindset, effective communication, teamwork orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
-Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required).
Desired Skills:-Experience with aerospace/defense manufacturing processes.
-Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or working toward certification).
-Exposure to ERP/Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., SAP).
-Strong analytical mindset, effective communication, teamwork orientation, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
