The Flight Test Instrumentation Technician group is seeking a qualified intern to support efforts in building and installation of instrumentation/data collection systems for flight test programs which provide the measurements required by the engineering department and/or contractual obligations.
Under direct supervision, candidate will assist in the preparation, installation, check-out and operation of custom instrumentation systems.
Other responsibilities include general lab/shop organization, administrative tasks, and hands on installs of thermocouples, accelerometers and a variety of other electronic components/sensors, reading wiring drawings, troubleshooting equipment measurement anomalies and construction of harnesses and electrical devices.
This assignment will include on-the-job training on ground and flight instrumentation efforts and instrumentation system maintenance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be currently enrolled and pursing an Electronics Engineering Technology Associate’s degree from an accredited university or junior college.
- Familiarity with electronic tools such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Must have completed one year towards college degree
- Must be a US citizen
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge or exposure to installing and replacing strain gauges, accelerometers, and thermocouples desired.
- Knowledge or exposure to reading wiring diagrams and interpreting schematics.
- Knowledge or exposure to harness builds, connector pin-outs, crimping and cable installation

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
