Description:You will be the Quality Engineer for the Quality Assurance team. Our team is responsible for delivering world‑class product quality across the entire product lifecycle.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer you will be responsible for driving rigorous quality practices that ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and performance.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Applies quality principles in the areas of: design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
-Performs technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
-Collaborates with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
-Engages in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
-Ensures corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
-Develops strategies and systems designed to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity. Evaluates quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
-Designs and analyzes inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
-Engages in supplier selection process and maintain certification programs.

Basic Qualifications:-Stem degree at bachelors level or higher

-Have knowledge of quality systems, demonstrated use of standard problem solving, troubleshooting tools and root cause analysis skills.
-Experience in troubleshooting electrical test failures associated with hardware and using electrical data acquisition instruments.
-Ability to perform floor support functions and make appropriate quality decisions.
-Well versed in GD&T, interpreting drawings and standards.
-Experienced in using various inspection measurement tools
Desired Skills:-Manufacturing and process improvement experience.
-Defense or military contractor experience.
-Working knowledge of SAP.
-Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEAs, and Root Cause and -Corrective Action processes.
-Experience in working with MiniTab.
-Experience in Six-Sigma green belt techniques and statistical process control methods.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including team building and collaboration.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
