What you’ll be doing
Perform mechanical work to prepare needed test vehicles for NVH evaluations.
Support evaluation planning, vehicle component retrofit, and vehicle evaluations.
Component modifications and mockups.
Instrumentation setup and collection of evaluation data using data acquisition equipment.
Confirm accuracy of data collected during evaluation process.
Strongly support Toyota Safety processes, kaizen, and 5S.
What you bring
Minimum of a High School Diploma required. Must be a current or a former student enrolled in an accredited Automotive Educational Program.
At least 2 years demonstrated relevant automotive work experience.
Minimum of at least 1 year experience working on cars and light trucks, completing basic diagnosis and repair of Gasoline engines, Hybrid Systems, Suspension systems and tire & wheel service Suspension Systems, Tire and Wheel Service.
Minimum of at least 1 year experience with brake systems repair or brake system testing in a laboratory and/or proving ground environment.
Minimum of 1 year of Fabrication using machine shop equipment including welding and metal forming.
Knowledge using Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint with the ability to complete data analysis and make graphs for reporting data.
Clean driving record with the Department of Motor Vehicle that is acceptable to company standards.
Regularly be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 35% of the time.
Willingness to work overtime up to 10 hours per week or based on business needs.
