Job Description Summary
This position is for a lead engineer within the Integrated Manufacturing Engineering (IME) organization. In this role you will own all engineering functions related to the production of rotating parts and compressor airfoils made by GE shops and external suppliers.
In this role, you will be on the front lines of an organization that is dedicated to improving the delivery and producibility, enhancing the Engineering-Supply chain relationship to improve the health of the supply chain and product to enable the business to fullfil our customers' expectations.
Examples of specific tasks you will be responsible for are: producibility design changes, on-going manufacturing support, and strategic improvements on production related processes of the assigned hardware.

Essential Responsibilities
Coach and mentor others in the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects, using engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
Utilize in-depth knowledge of engineering & manufacturing, analytical thinking, and technical experience to execute on technically complex projects to meet technical requirements and business goals with minimal technical oversight.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related engineering field.
Fundamental understanding of turbomachinery system design.
Experience in a relevant engineering role.
Solid contribution in a similar role or previous position
Capable of coaching others to accomplish assignments
Ability in managing projects across functions
Proficient oral and written communication skills in English.
Proficient interpersonal and leadership skills.
Experience in design of aerospace components, especially on rotating parts and blades
Desired Characteristics
Experience in manufacturing, especially of aerospace components.
Experience on drawing interpretation, GD&T and stack-up analysis.
Experience on stress analysis with Ansys or similar software.
Experience in CAD modeling with NX or similar software.
Experience on fatigue analysis of aerospace components.
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
