Job Description
This role will be based in Mountain View, CA.
The LinkedIn Infrastructure Engineering Technical Program Management Group is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join our team which is part of LinkedIn’s Infrastructure engineering organization. Infrastructure engineering consists of over 2,000 engineers who are responsible for infrastructure that runs linkedin.com. The org builds and operates massive-scale systems: physical data centers, networking, storage, compute, observability, and Data and AI/ML platforms.
The Senior TPM will drive cutting-edge improvements to our advanced Edge & Traffic platform. They will own and drive key areas of LinkedIn’s Edge/Traffic infrastructure and platforms that enable massive ingress and egress LinkedIn traffic serving hundreds of millions of users. Collaborate with Bizops and Infrastructure Engineering teams across LinkedIn to deliver high-impact, cutting-edge solutions. Initiate, plan and execute large scale, cross-functional and company-wide programs.
This role demands a Sr.TPM with Infra stack experience , specifically in the areas of Edge, Traffic, and DNS.
Responsibilities:
- Own execution of well-defined technical programs for edge, traffic management, or DNS systems from planning through delivery.
- Partner closely with engineering, networking, and security teams to define milestones, dependencies, and delivery plans.
- Track and manage program health, including schedules, risks, action items, and status reporting.
- Identify execution and technical risks early, drive mitigations, and escalate appropriately when needed.
- Support launch readiness activities, including change management, validation, and go-live coordination.
- Participate in incident response and post-incident follow-ups, ensuring action items are tracked to closure.
- Use metrics and operational data (latency, availability, error rates etc) to assess progress and inform decisions.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders through regular updates, documentation, and reviews.
- Drive alignment across teams on day-to-day execution details, resolving blockers to maintain momentum.
- Continuously build domain expertise in edge, traffic, and DNS systems and apply learnings to improve program execution.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 7+ years of experience in Technical Program and Product management, including feature development, roadmap management and experience in Agile Methods in Infra product/platform development teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience driving well-scoped technical programs in edge infrastructure, traffic management, or DNS platforms.
- Working knowledge of internet-scale networking fundamentals, including DNS, load balancing, traffic routing, and failover concepts.
- Ability to manage program planning and execution independently, including milestones, dependencies, risks, and status reporting.
- Experience partnering with various engineering and business stakeholders to unblock execution and drive delivery.
- Familiarity with production environments, including participation in launches, incidents, and post-incident follow-ups.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear status updates and stakeholder coordination.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments, escalating risks and trade-offs appropriately.
- Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to take accountability for outcomes, not just tracking.
Suggested Skills:
- Experience leading complex technical programs across multiple teams with clear ownership and follow-through
- Proven technical judgment to participate meaningfully in architecture discussions and trade-offs

Additional Information
LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $114,000 to $187,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
