Job Summary
The Producer Editor position for Comcast Spectacor is responsible for producing, shooting, editing, and delivering high quality video content that supports organizational storytelling across broadcast, game presentation, and digital platforms. This role manages all facets of video production—from scripting and scheduling to directing talent and overseeing post production—while providing comprehensive coverage of live events and creating dynamic content for hockey, lacrosse, and other Comcast Spectacor properties. The ideal candidate brings advanced expertise in Adobe Premiere and After Effects, strong camera proficiency, a deep understanding of cinematography and audio principles, and the ability to craft compelling narratives through a fan centric lens. This collaborative, creative professional thrives in fast paced environments, contributes innovative ideas, maintains exceptional organization, and is flexible in working nights, weekends, and travel as needed.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce, shoot, edit, and deliver high-quality video content for all Comcast-Spectacor properties, ensuring alignment with organizational messaging across broadcast, game presentation, and social/digital channels.
- Manage all logistical aspects of assigned video projects, including scripting, scheduling, directing talent, and overseeing post-production and delivery.
- Provide comprehensive video coverage for live events across various departments.
- Develop engaging event coverage, including B-roll media packages, recaps, and social-first content.
- Create diverse video content specifically for hockey and lacrosse platforms.
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize, develop, and execute innovative content, stories, and activations.
- Assist with media management and maintain organization of production equipment.
- Support podcast production as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor or graduate degree in production, broadcasting, or equivalent education
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and After Effects
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Audition
- Advanced experience with video editing in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of Camera proficiency: Sony (preferred) and Canon
- Strong understanding of the Principles of Cinematography: Composition, Lighting, Framing, etc.
- Strong understanding of audio equipment
- Strong communication and social skills
- Strong social awareness and work ethic
- Flexible and calm under pressure
- Experience in AVID is a plus
- Ability to think outside the box and present ideas in a large group setting
- Willingness to contribute ideas to the team and experiment with various cinematic styles
- Understand the traditional story arc and ability to edit a piece through the viewer/fan perspective
- Creative mindset and exceptional organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to travel and work nights, weekends and select holidays, in addition to traditional business hours is required
- Sports background preferred
- Personal mode of transportation is preferred
