Hulu’s Insights team is seeking a Brand Insights Manager to support research initiatives across Hulu’s Brand, Customers, Campaigns, and the broader streaming industry. In this role, you will design and execute research, analyze data, and translate findings into strategies that guide decision-making for Hulu and the wider DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) business. The ideal candidate is an analytical storyteller - skilled at elevating the consumer voice, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution, and thriving in a highly fast-paced, collaborative environment.
This role is office-based in our Santa Monica office.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Brand Strategy & Measurement
- Manage key processes in support of Brand Health Tracking for Hulu.
- Contribute to brand marketing initiative research projects, including the various Bundle packages and ad hoc campaign strategy
Collaborate Across Teams
- Partner with Hulu Marketing, Strategic Planning & Operations, and Content Partnerships, as well as partners across TWDC to define research goals and strategies.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, agencies, and external research partners.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, ensuring insights directly inform strategic and operational decisions
Insights & Analysis
- Design, execute, and analyze qualitative and quantitative research projects.
- Synthesize data from multiple sources (e.g., Nielsen, MRI, SNL Kagan, and internal sources) into clear, compelling narratives.
- Identify trends in consumer behavior, campaign performance, and market dynamics to shape business and marketing priorities.
- Develop reports and presentations that clearly communicate insights and actionable recommendations.
Stay Ahead of the Industry Trends
- Monitor developments in streaming, advertising, consumer research, and media.
- Introduce fresh perspectives and best practices to continuously evolve Hulu’s insights capabilities.
WHAT TO BRING
Research/Insights Expertise
- 4+ years of research experience, preferably at a market research supplier focused on the Entertainment vertical, or an entertainment/media brand, or a Direct-to-Consumer brand.
- BA/BS in social sciences, or related field, with a strong academic and analytical foundation or equivalent work experience.
- Proven expertise in managing tracking studies (preferably Brand and/or Ad)
- Strong foundation in survey methods and campaign attribution
- Experience with analytic tools and statistical software (e.g. SPSS, SQL, R, Python)

- Detail-oriented and organized, with a track record of delivering under tight deadlines.

NICE-TO-HAVES
- Experience at a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) streaming service or a research company working with a DTC streaming service.
- Familiarity and expertise with digital analytics, media mix modeling, attribution, and modeling approaches using internal and external data sources.
The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, California is $93,200.00 - $128,000.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
