Responsibilities will include supporting the Material Center (a dynamic, enterprise-wide online material data management solution) team, as well as working short- and long-term projects.
THE WORKThe Materials and Process Engineering Technology team is seeking an E3 level highly motivated candidate to join our team.
Technical knowledge in materials, both composites and metallics, and manufacturing, and experience with programming is preferred.
The candidate will be a member of the integrated Technology team with an emphasis on supporting and implementing digital transformation at Sikorsky and other Lockheed Martin business areas. Candidate should be flexible to support a range of tasks involved in deployment and adoption of a new system such as supporting upgrades, defect troubleshooting, architecture design & integrations with other systems, update and manage schemas, data preparation and upload, system configuration, develop & support training/rollout, and develop/rollout communications.
As a key member of our Materials and Process Engineering Technology Team, you will:
• Provide technical leadership, and manage budget and schedule for Material Center material data management solution. Candidate will resolve various technical issues, recommend enhancements, and support the continued expansion of the database to other Lockheed Martin sites and Business Areas.
• Lead the Surface Design for Performance corrosion simulation and plating simulation modeling projects.
• Contribute Materials and Process knowledge to aircraft programs, evolving to subject matter expert.
• Coordinate material qualification projects through fabrication, testing, allowable generation, and specification release.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to meet technical and business goals and objective.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering groups, program teams, and production teams.
• Comfortable communicating with peers, leadership, customers, and subcontractors.
• Working side by side with designers, analysts, project engineers, and other M&P engineers you’ll use your education, experience, and growing expertise to drive innovation in Material Data Management (MDM) tools, simulation modeling, and material qualification.

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor of Science degree in Materials, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and Python scripting languages.
• Minimum of 5 years of Materials and Process experience.
Desired Skills:• Integration and Test/Troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Sikorsky process improvements

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
