The Corporate Social Responsibility Specialist Sr. is responsible for developing and maintaining favorable relationships with nonprofit community partners surrounding our offices and operations to reinforce our commitment to the communities where our employees live and work. This role will also develop strategic charitable giving and volunteer opportunities for us to promote business growth. The ability to promote our philanthropic efforts externally to build goodwill, maintain our positive reputation, increase brand recognition, and lead others are keys to success.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Connects with nonprofit community partners throughout the year to ensure our charitable giving dollars are being spent strategically
- Collaborates closely with internal business partners to evaluate and recommend organizations and funding levels for annual budget
- Serves as a specialist for designated program area(s) for an enterprise-wide point of view; establishes community and customer connections to achieve greater impact with giving and represents us at community gatherings or events
- Performs research on organizations to ensure eligibility and evaluates all funding requests for designated program area(s)
- Leads teams or committees of employees for company-sponsored events; serves on internal task forces as required; coordinates events for senior-level executives as the need arises
- Mentors others
- Requests and processes grants
- Writes articles for digital platforms to amplify our community involvement; coordinates communications to business partner groups
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Business, Marketing, Accounting, Communications, CSR, Non-Profit Management or relevant field; a minimum of six (6) years' experience working at a non-profit organization, marketing, communications, accounting,foundation, Corporate Social Responsibility,ESG or community relations role
- Preferred: Master's degree in Public Relations, Business, Marketing, Accounting, Communications, CSR, Non-Profit Management or relevant field; a minimum of six (6) years' experience working at a non-profit organization, marketing, communications, accounting,foundation, Corporate Social Responsibility,ESG or community relations role
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and PC skills
- Writing and editing; knowledgeable of AP writing style
- Solid understanding of non-profit organizations
- Strong public speaking skills
- Preferred: Project management skills
