Chicago Transit Authority is seeking a Senior Manager, Service Planning in Chicago, IL with the following requirements. Master’s degree in Urban Planning or Transportation Engineering or related field or foreign equivalent degree. 5 years related experience.
Required skills:
Manage personnel to accomplish transportation service planning tasks including but not limited to developing changes to bus and rail service frequency, routing, vehicle assignment and span, reporting on agency statistics, communicating with elected officials, the public and external agencies.
Develop and maintain dynamic reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools, to track service performance, provide insights for decision-making, and build scenarios for service recommendations, using SQL database queries, Hastus data exports, and Power BI.
Develop written communication such as emails, letters, justification reports/memos and presentations for members of the public, elected officials and government agencies and attend public meetings presenting to these groups on this material
Utilize transportation scheduling software, such as Hastus, to develop draft schedules for new services, providing accurate estimates of cost and resource requirements.
Utilize software to provide statistics on service levels, cost and resource requirements on existing schedules
Develop statistics on transit network service levels, vehicle requirements and transit network mileage, among others, for federal reporting, including Title VI/Environmental Justice reporting and submission to the National Transit Database
Must live within the boundaries of the CTA service area at the time of employment or within 6 months of beginning employment at CTA.)
Up to 40% remote work allowed. Salary Range: $127,930.48 - $132,193.98.
