Business Operations Director
About your role:
The Business Operations Director at Fiserv serves as a strategic leader responsible for driving operational excellence, informing executive decision-making, and overseeing complex cross-functional initiatives across the organization. This role provides enterprise-level insight through advanced data analysis, performance measurement, and proactive risk identification. You will lead teams, establish operational standards, and ensure alignment of programs and processes with organizational priorities and regulatory expectations.
In this role, you will partner closely with senior leadership to shape strategic roadmaps, optimize business performance, and oversee execution of high-impact initiatives. You will champion continuous improvement, guide change management efforts, and create operational frameworks that improve scalability, transparency, and accountability. You will also communicate complex program and operational data in clear, actionable formats to executives and stakeholders, supporting informed business decisions and long-term planning.
What you will do:
- Provide strategic oversight of program scopes, objectives, and organizational priorities, ensuring alignment with business strategy, financial targets, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the development of long-range program and operational plans, including resource strategies, financial modeling, and scenario planning across multiple workstreams.
- Own executive-level reporting, delivering weekly, monthly, and quarterly insights that highlight performance trends, risks, and strategic opportunities.
- Oversee creation and governance of enterprise program documentation, standards, and operational processes to improve consistency and mitigate risk.
- Drive portfolio-level planning, including development and prioritization of the book of work in partnership with senior leadership, product management, and finance.
- Shape and guide AOP and LRP deliverables, synthesizing data and insights into executive-ready narratives and recommendations.
- Champion operational excellence, leveraging business intelligence tools, KPI frameworks, and advanced analytics to identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Direct complex reporting and data integrations across multiple internal systems and third-party platforms, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data governance compliance.
- Oversee audit and compliance readiness for programs and scorecards, ensuring alignment with payment card industry and financial services regulatory standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across operations.
- Act as a senior liaison across business units, ensuring smooth cross-functional coordination and strong executive-level communication.
What you will need:
- 7+ years of proven experience in program coordination and execution within the financial services or payment processing industry.
- Experience with change management processes, evidenced by managing changes in project scope, schedule, and costs in previous roles.
- Experience in pricing and billing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree
What would be great to have:
- Certifications in project and program management, such as PMP (Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2.
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the financial services industry, such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) or ISO 27001.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Negotiation skills to effectively manage vendor contracts and agreements.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in payment processing, such as blockchain or digital wallets.
- Experience conducting training sessions or workshops for team members and stakeholders.
- Experience delivering presentations to senior leadership.
- Master’s degree

- This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
