What You Will Do
-
Lead execution of major programs and mid- to large-scale cross-functional engineering teams across all development phases

Serve as SME and technical liaison to programs/IPTs, ensuring stakeholder alignment

Oversee technical performance of design teams and provide lifecycle engineering guidance
-
Lead proposal efforts, EAC activities, and manage schedule, cost, and technical commitments
-
Drive TDP development, peer reviews, and hardware engineering process improvements
-
Perform complex mechanical design, development, and documentation for defense systems
-
Support product integration with domestic/international factories and suppliers
-
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, Chief Engineers, and suppliers to deliver robust, production-ready solutions
Qualifications You Must Have
-
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years’ experience.

Mechanical equipment design and development experience, preferably in defense/military environments

Proven engineering team leadership with accountability for cost, schedule, and technical performance; project budgeting and scheduling experience

Effective collaboration within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and cross-functional organizations, including customer engagement
-
Hands-on mechanical design experience from trade studies and concept development through production transition and supplier support
-
Experience conducting RCCA, driving cost reduction initiatives, and producing technical documentation/white papers
-
Broad expertise in mechanical design, materials, manufacturing processes, CAD, and PDM systems
-
Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally
Qualifications We Prefer

Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or related hardware systems field

Electronic packaging design experience (subsystems, modules, CCAs, PWBs, interconnects for RF/digital/power)

Design, fabrication, and integration of electronic assemblies, shelters, racks, and PDUs

Knowledge of military/commercial specifications and ASME Y14.5 GD&T

Experience with ECAD processes, interconnects, cables/harnesses, and material selection/finishes
-
Proficiency in Creo CAD, Windchill PDM (or similar), and configuration/change management
-
Skilled in Microsoft Office with strong communication and technical writing abilities
-
Self-driven team player able to manage multiple priorities and travel as needed

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
